Moxie Tuesday Workshop: Food as Medicine

Tuesday, July 11, 2017 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Do you know that food can cure what ails you? Find out how to give your body what it really needs and dig into the role diet plays in health. Gather nutrition tips, expand your culinary vocabulary, explore new approaches to cooking and get inspired to experiment. Free takeaways and tastings included! This workshop will take place outside in The Backyard of our Chestnut Hill Store. If the weather is uncooperative, we will move the program to Weavers Way Mercantile, 542 Carpenter Lane in Mt. Airy.

FREE, REGISTRATION REQUIRED. REGISTER HERE.

Weavers Way Co-op is pleased to offer this program in partnership with the non-profit Food Moxie. Moxie Tuesday Workshops are a series of free classes, including cooking demos, discussions about food and nutrition and other food-centric events taking place every second Tuesday of each month.

Food Moxie was created by the Board of Directors of the Weavers Way Cooperative Association in 2007 as a means to actively promote the health and well-being of the community in which it operates, and provide direct support to Philadelphia families in need.  In the years since, we have developed a highly specialized range of farm, nutrition, and culinary education programs, affecting  the lives of thousands of urban children and families in Northwest Philadelphia and beyond.
