This workshop will be led by Geraldine Lavin, an herbalist, gardener, teacher, and intuitive artist. Geraldine was the Market Manager for Philadelphia's Mill Creek Farm and transformed a vacant lot into a productive urban garden which still flourishes today. Soon thereafter she was the lead greenhouse technician in the U. Penn Biology Department’s greenhouses and botanical garden. In 2015, she started the Philadelphia Herbal Network (PHHN), which now has over 100 members. In 2012, while as she was engaging with urban agriculture, Geraldine was also running a community based, sliding scale herbal practice. This evolved into Suntrap Apothecary in 2016 through which she practices clinical herbalism, formulates products, cultivates & wildcrafts herbs and gives workshops. Most recently, Geraldine completed the Eclectic School of Herbal Medicine’s Full Time Clinical Herbalism program with Thomas Easley and Matthew Wood. To learn more about Geraldine’s practice or to schedule a herbal consultation, visit Suntrap.co.
