Weavers Way Neighborhood Nutrition Team Workshop: Culinary Herbs & Warming Spices for Medicinal Benefits

Thursday, January 24, 2019 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm

We add herbs and spices to our food for the flavor and depth they add to virtually any meal. But this is only one of the many reasons to use spices and herbs in your cooking. In this workshop, Neighborhood Nutrition Team member Wendy Romig discusses the medicinal benefits of using culinary herbs and warming spices in your food.

You'll learn which herbs and spices are packed with nutrition, antioxidants and other phytochemicals that can add therapeutic value to your food, helping you live a longer and healthier life. The more variety, the better! Ginger in your tea? Oregano on your mixed salad? Cinnamon on your warm oatmeal? Yes, please!

This workshop takes place at Mt. Airy NEXUS, located at 520 Carpenter Lane.
