Weavers Way Workshop: Learn to Weave on a Little Loom
Weavers Way Co-op is partnering with The Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers (PGHW) to offer a workshop to introduce non-weavers to the joy of weaving on a simple “Knitter’s Loom,” a.k.a. Rigid Heddle Loom. No experience is necessary!
Participants (ages 16+) will begin weaving on small portable looms, which will be dressed and ready for action at the start of the workshop. Students can choose their own yarn colors and create a wall hanging during the workshop. The looms and materials will be supplied by PGHW, thanks to a grant from the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association. Make something for yourself or a gift for a friend!
This program will be held at the Philadelphia Guild of Handweavers, at 3705 Main St. in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia. Free parking across the street and next to the Guild house.
RSVP REQUIRED AS SPACE IS STRICTLY LIMITED. NO DROP-INS WILL BE ABLE TO BE ACCOMMODATED.
