Providing elder care to a loved one can be one of the most difficult things any of us will ever do, and perhaps you are doing so already. This work can be enervating, infuriating, and rewarding or some combination thereof, and downright funny on occasion. Every caregiver’s journey is unique, and sometimes it can be lonely although aspects of the experience are shared in all our journeys.
This series aims to support any community member engaged in this critically important, challenging and life-changing work. Please note that you can be providing eldercare whether or not your loved one lives with you. Depending upon our group’s needs, we may develop a list of resources to elder caregivers and have guest speakers. Feel free to eat dinner or snack during our meetings!
This series will be facilitated by Jennifer Jones, a member of Weavers Way who has been providing continuous elder care since July 2016. Jennifer works in finance and is a CTI trained coach. Her father has now passed and her mother just relocated to Ambler. Jennifer is passionate about helping other caregivers’ ease their own stress levels whenever possible.
Join us for any or all of the six scheduled meetings in this series, weekly on Wednesdays starting on July 11th, 2018 and ending on August 15th, 2018.
